Vishnu was recruited to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2017 Indian Premier League. He was intended to serve as a substitute for KL Rahul, who was a wicket-keeper and batter but was unable to participate in the competition on account of an injury. During the season, he participated in three matches and scored a total of 19 runs. However, the squad did not decide to keep him on for the next season. The Delhi Capitals put Vinod on the bench for the whole of the 2021 Indian Premier League season after purchasing him in the IPL auction in February 2021. The auction took place before the 2021 season.
In advance of the 2022 Indian Premier League auction, Delhi decided to release him from their contract. One of the teams who participated in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition was Sunrisers Hyderabad, which purchased him in February of that year. While coming in as a replacement fielder in an Indian Premier League encounter at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, Vishnu Vinod, a wicketkeeper-batter for the Mumbai Indians, made his presence known on the field by completing a wobbly catch to remove Faf du Plessis, the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team.
While Vishnu Vinod is unable to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Mumbai has decided to replace him with Harvik Desai, a wicketkeeper-batter from Saurashtra. The damage that Vinod, who is thirty years old, got on his forearm did not allow him to recuperate promptly. Prithvi Shaw, who is presently playing for the Delhi side in the Indian Premier League, was the captain of the Indian Under-19 squad that claimed victory in the World Cup in 2018. Harvik was a member of the team.
A century and four fifties are among the accomplishments that Harvik has achieved in the 27 Twenty20 matches that he has played since making his debut in 2019. He has scored 691 runs at an average of 30.04 and a strike rate of 134.17. During Saurashtra’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy encounter against Manipur at the JSCA Oval Ground in Ranchi, Harvik achieved his highest score by scoring an unbeaten 104 off 55 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes. This was Harvik’s highest score to date.
