Ajay Sharma and Maninder Singh still hold the record for the greatest tenth-wicket partnership, which was the one they achieved in the match between Delhi and Mumbai in 1992. The Mumbai squad won their 42nd Ranji Trophy championship, which was a momentous occasion in the history of Ranji cricket. This victory engraved the Mumbai team’s name into the annals of baseball. To achieve victory, Vidarbha had to contend with a formidable goal of 538 runs, which was a difficult task. Up until that point, Mumbai was in the driver’s seat, bringing Vidarbha down to 133 for 4. However, the game took a dramatic turn when Karun Nair and Akshay Wadkar, the captain of Vidarbha, launched a determined fightback. This kept Vidarbha’s hopes alive through the fourth day of the match and the opening session of the fifth day of the match.

On Thursday, Australian spinner Adam Zampa announced that he will not be participating in the 2024 Indian Premier League. The reason for his decision was reportedly personal. After that, on Friday, the Rajasthan Royals club announced that they would be replacing Zampa with Tanush Kotian, an uncapped Indian all-rounder. Kotian, who is 25 years old, was a member of Mumbai’s team that competed in the Ranji Trophy, which has recently come to an end. When he was there, he took 29 wickets and scored 502 runs in ten matches.
In 2018, he made his debut for Mumbai in the first-class cricket competition. In addition, he has played for the team in the Twenty20 and List A cricket competitions. During the current Ranji season, Tanush Kotian has struck a century in addition to four half-centuries. Every single one of them hits eighth or below. Both of his highest scores, 120 and 89, occurred while he was batting in the tenth position. The immense potential that Kotian has with the bat. One of the most compelling evidence is his first-class average of 42.
However, his Indian Premier League side, the Rajasthan Royals, had a different opinion.at his first Indian Premier League match, which took place at Mullanpur against the Punjab Kings, Kotian opened the batting with Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, he did not have the opportunity to bowl even a single over. To compensate for the fact that RR was without the services of Ravichandran Ashwin and Jos Buttler, they decided to include Kotian and Rovman Powell in their starting eleven. On the other hand, nobody was aware that Kotian would be the one to take Buttler’s spot at the top of the ranking.
