At the time of his birth on September 24, 2004, Shaik Rasheed was a cricket player from India. A city in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Guntur is where he was born. Within the context of the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy, he made his debut in the first-class format on February 24, 2022, while playing for Andhra Pradesh against Services. It was on October 16, 2022, when Andhra Pradesh played Nagaland in the Twenty20 International. The match was part of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the 2022–23 season.
Additionally, he was announced as the vice-captain of India’s team that will compete in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2022. In particular, his exploits with the bat throughout the semi-final and final rounds were important in India’s victory in the U-19 World Cup. The Chennai Super Kings have selected Shaik Rasheed from the Emerging Players’ Category to be a part of their roster for the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. Throughout the 2023 season, CSK paid $20,000 to acquire Rasheed.
In the beginning, Shaik Rasheed was not accepted into the Under-14 and Under-16 levels of the Andhra Pradesh cricket team. This was due to his poor performance, which caused him to consider stopping his cricket career. Shaik Balisha Vali, his father, had been working as a banker in Guntur, but he decided to abandon his profession and assist his son, SK Rasheed, in obtaining the appropriate skills. In preparation for the tri-series that will take place in 2021 between India U-19 A and Bangladesh, SK Rasheed has been selected to serve as the captain of India U-19 A.
When India faced Bangladesh in the second semi-final of the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2021, SK Rasheed scored a key knock of 90 runs off 108 deliveries. This assisted India in establishing a respectable goal of 243 runs, as the rest of the team struggled to surpass the individual score of 30 runs for each member. During the finals of the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2021, Shaik Rasheed delivered a match-winning knock of 31* by joining hands with opening batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi. This performance was the decisive factor in the conclusion of the match.

After failing to fulfill his job as captain of the India U19 squad during the U19 Triangular Series, SK Rasheed has been promoted to the position of vice-captain of the India U19 team for the ICC U19 World Cup 2022. Yash Dhull, who is a member of the Delhi District Cricket Association, has been given the responsibility of captaining the team. I would like to bring to your attention the fact that Yash Dhull served as the vice-captain of the India U19 A squad, which Shaik Rasheed is leading in the U19 Triangular Series 2021.
On Day 2 of their Ranji Trophy Group B encounter at Moin-ul Haq Stadium in Patna, Andhra Pradesh surpassed Bihar’s first-innings tally of 182 courtesy of captain Ricky Bhui’s 58 runs off 82 balls and Shaik Rasheed’s unbeaten 76 off 115 balls. Both of these performers contributed to Andhra Pradesh’s victory. They were not the only batters in the top order who contributed significantly to the success of the endeavor; numerous others did as well.
On the second day of their Ranji Trophy Group B match, which took place on Saturday at Moin-ul Haq Stadium in Patna, Andhra Pradesh surpassed Bihar’s first-innings score of 182 by scoring half-centuries. Captain Ricky Bhui scored 58 runs off 82 balls, and Shaik Rasheed scored 76 runs off 115 balls. The majority of the top-order batters also made valuable contributions.
As a result of his fall to his Bihar rival Ashutosh Aman, India player Hanuma Vihari, who was batting at No. 3, was unable to make a significant contribution. He holstered a catch to Raghuvendra Pratap Singh. After that, Bhui and Girinath worked together to score 56 runs for the third wicket by the time RP Singh took the wicket of Bhui. Nitish Kumar Reddy, who is now batting at 39, and Rasheed are currently at the crease.

Aman, the captain of the Bihar team, and RP Singh both took two wickets, while Sakibul Gani was the one who made the first breakthrough of the day for the home team. On Thursday, MSK Prasad, a former wicketkeeper for India and a former top national selector, was a very proud man for two different reasons. To begin, Shaik Rasheed, who was born and raised in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, contributed to India’s advancement to the final of the U-19 World Cup by scoring 94 runs against Australia. This knock was important in India’s victory.
As a second point of interest, Rasheed is a product of Andhra’s extensive academy system, which Prasad himself constructed while serving as the head of cricket operations for the state association. The purpose of the three schools that included accommodation facilities was to make use of the talent that was located in the central region of the state. Rasheed is the face of the success of the organization, which is working to discover cricketing potential among children from less fortunate backgrounds.
For us, the Andhra Academy at Mangalgiri was a tremendous source of assistance and relief. There was nothing more that Balisha could say than that Coach Krishna Rao sir was helpful. To find a means of subsistence, Balisha traveled to Hyderabad. Even though Rasheed had not yet turned ten years old, he was doing very well in competitions between different districts. His selection for the Andhra Cricket Association’s academy took place here when he was nine years old. The hostel provided him with a place to stay, clothes, food, and education. The academy was also responsible for paying for the school.
