The Indian cricketer Shahbaz Nadeem, who was born on August 12, 1989, is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He has played for India on the international stage in the past. In December of 2004, he made his debut in the first-class cricket competition. Currently, he is a member of the Jharkhand team, having previously played for the Bihar Under-14 side and the Indian U-19s. India announced that he will be retiring from international cricket on March 5th, 2024.
While playing for Jharkhand in a match against Rajasthan in September 2018, he established a new record for the best bowling figures in a List A cricket match by collecting eight wickets for ten runs. This achievement put him in the running for the record. In the state of Jharkhand, he was born in Bokaro Steel City. St. Xavier’s School in Bokaro, De Nobili School in Dhanbad, and Delhi Public School in Kolkata were the institutions from which he graduated with his education.
The perception that Nadeem would become the next prominent left-arm slow bowler existed even before he made his debut in the first-class format. He bowls with a left-handed movement that is classical and fluid, has a natural tendency to bowl around the wicket to a right-handed batsman, and is not afraid to experiment with different degrees of the loop. Additionally, he is a fielder who is skilled and agile, and he is a regular at point for both his state and the East Zone side. During the Under-15 game that took place in 2002, he took nine wickets against Sikkim, which was the game that brought him into consideration.
Not only did he have a successful first-class debut earlier this season, but he also had a difficult time in the Under-19 one-dayers against Australia. Furthermore, he only played one match in the Under-19 World Cup. Through his outstanding play throughout the 2012 Indian Premier League season, Nadeem was able to establish himself as a member of the Delhi Daredevils squad. In addition to that, he was one of the seven players that were considered for the awards for IPL Rising Star of the Year.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), he was a member of the Delhi Daredevils from 2011 to 2018 and the Sunrisers Hyderabad from 2019 to 2021. During his time with both teams, he took 48 wickets. After beginning his career with Jharkhand at the age of 15, Nadeem did not get a call-up to play for India until he was 30 years old. Both in 2015–16 (51 wickets) and 2016–17 (55 wickets), he was the player who took the most wickets in the Ranji Trophy. He ended the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018-19 with the most wickets, 24. Among them, he had a List-A record spell of eight wickets for ten against Rajasthan.
One of the most memorable games that Nadeem has ever played is the one in which he was named Player of the Match for Jharkhand’s victory in the Vijay Hazare Trophy final in 2010-2011.
