At the same time, Wedagedara Sadeera Rashen Samarawickrama Sadeera Samarawickrama, who was born on August 30, 1995, is a professional cricketer from Sri Lanka who plays for the national side in all forms of the game. She is also known by her nickname, Sadeera Samarawickrama. Additionally, he was a member of Sri Lanka’s team that competed in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2014. He attended both Thurstan College and St. Joseph’s College in Colombo, Sri Lanka, earlier in his academic career.
Throughout the 2016–17 Premier League Tournament, he amassed a total of 1,016 runs, which he scored as a result of playing in 10 matches and 19 innings. During the annual awards ceremony held by Sri Lanka Cricket in November 2017, he was recognized as the best batsman in domestic cricket for the 2016–17 season’s competition. In the first day-night test match that Sri Lanka ever played, which took place on October 6, 2017, he made his debut for Sri Lanka against Pakistan. As part of the first innings, he not only hit 38 runs but also had a rapid 68-run partnership with Dimuth Karunaratne, who was the centurion. In the 44th over of Sri Lanka’s innings, Samarawickrama had already achieved fifty off 46 balls, and he was very close to reaching three figures. In the ninth over of Nawaz’s innings, he was put on strike for the third ball, and he climbed into the nineties with a booming stroke into the off-side. Samarawickrama skipped down the pitch to meet a floating ball that Nawaz produced and fell in. He moved away from the ball while bending his back leg and placing his head over it to hit the ball over the cover and far beyond the boundary rope for six points.
