Rishi Dhawan is a cricketer from India who currently represents Himachal Pradesh in both first-class and List-A international competitions. He was born on February 19, 1990. Dhawan is essentially an all-rounder who delivers medium-fast bowling and bats in the middle rank of the batting order. During the 2008 Indian Premier League, Dhawan was a member of the Kings XI Punjab team. The Mumbai Indians picked him up for a contract in the year 2013.
In February of 2017, the Kolkata Knight Riders club paid 55 lakhs to acquire his services to participate in the 2017 Indian Premier League. It is common practice to refer to him as the best cricketer that Himachal Pradesh has ever produced due to the significant contributions he has made to the state team and the fact that he has played every game by himself. In the One-Day International match that took place on January 17, 2016, he made his debut for India against Australia.
On the 18th of June in 2016, he made his debut in the Twenty20 International (T20I) competition against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club. In the Ranji Trophy for the 2018–19 season, he scored 519 runs in eight matches, making him the best run-scorer for Himachal Pradesh. In the final of the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy, which took place in December 2021, Dhawan led Himachal Pradesh to their first-ever victory in Indian domestic cricket. They accomplished this by defeating Tamil Nadu.
Dhawan finished the tournament as the second-most run scorer with 458 runs at an average of 76 and the second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets at an average of 23 in eight matches. His performance was impressive across the board, and he finished as the second-highest wicket-taker among all players. As a consequence of this, the Punjab Kings entered the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition and purchased him in February of that same year.

Rishi Dhawan extended his remarkable run in the Ranji Trophy by picking up another victory over Puducherry. He opened the batting and scored a good 54 runs off of only 81 balls, which was a key contribution to Himachal Pradesh’s impressive first-innings total of 463 runs. The win that Himachal Pradesh achieved by an innings and 63 runs was largely due to his innings, which played a significant part in the triumph.

While playing for M.S. Dhoni in 2016, the seam-bowling all-rounder made his debut in one-day internationals (in Australia) and Twenty20 Internationals (in Zimbabwe), however,r he was only able to participate in one series for each format. Dhawan claims that he has been in communication with the selectors and is searching for methods to enhance his performance in the batting and bowling sectors.
In 2013, Dhawan made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with Mumbai Indians. Subsequently, he moved on to play with Punjab Kings, who were formerly known as Kings XI Punjab. Up to 2016, he participated in 26 Indian Premier League games, however,r he did not have much of an effect. The Punjab franchise got him up once again in 2022 after a significant amount of time had passed, but he continued to provide performances that were not particularly noteworthy.
The Punjab Kings (PBKS) will play their last match of the season in the Indian Premier League 2023 on May 19 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium in Dharamsala. The match will be between the Punjab Kings and the Rajasthan Royals (RR). The side that Shikhar Dhawan was leading suffered a defeat at the hands of DC in their most recent match in Dharamsala. For them to have any chance of making it into the playoffs, they need to accomplish not just winning their last game but also having other outcomes fall in their favor.
The current Indian Premier League season has seen PBKS win six of their thirteen matches while losing seven of them. In their first two matches, the team led by Trevor Bayliss was victorious against the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals. However, in their succeeding matches, they lost to the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Gujarat Titans. In the subsequent match, which took place in Lucknow, PBKS prevailed against LSG by a margin of two wickets. PBKS then suffered a setback at the hands of RCB in Mohali, but they made a tremendous comeback to triumph against MI at the Wankhede.
