Richard James Gleeson is a local cricketer from England who now represents Lancashire in the domestic cricket competition. He was born on December 2nd, 1987. It was in July of 2022 that he made his debut for the England cricket team on the international stage. On the 15th of August 2015, he made his debut for Northamptonshire in the first-class competition against the Australians. On the 8th of June 2016, he made his debut in the List A competition for Northamptonshire against Lancashire in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
Initially, Gleeson played for Northants on a match-by-match basis while maintaining his full-time work teaching in schools and cricket clubs on behalf of the Lancashire Cricket Board. However, in July 2016, he signed a three-year deal with Northants, which allowed him to continue his coaching career. The Rangpur Riders, who competed in the Bangladesh Premier League in 2016, accepted his contract to play Twenty20 cricket for them.

Gleeson was selected to be a member of England’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the home series that they were going to play against India in July of 2022. In his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match, which took place on July 9, 2022, he played for England against India.
