It was two days before the unveiling of South Africa’s Twenty20 World Cup team that they achieved their most recent victory. Several players from the Lions are being considered for South Africa’s provisional squad. The most notable of these players are the hitters Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks, who finished the competition with the second and third largest sums of runs scored, respectively. The star of the match was Hendricks, who not only scored an undefeated 73 off of 52 balls but also served as the foundation for a successful chase of 166.
As a result of his half-century, which was his fourth of the season, he finished the season one run behind Rickelton on the run charts. The Lions decided to bowl at their home stadium on a warm fall day, and by the 15th over, they had the Dolphins in a significant amount of difficulty with 103 runs for six. The Dolphins were able to achieve a total that was competitive because of the contributions of Jason Smith, who hit his first fifty of the season, and Eathan Bosch, who held the seventh wicket for 57 runs.
