At the age of 15, the coach saw him bowl for the first time, and he immediately recognized that he was not a typical young teenager. Because of this, I decided to instruct him. After bowling successfully for Town Club, Bengal selector Sambaran Banerjee decided to include Shami on the Bengal under-22 squad due to his impressive performance. The way that Shami performed left Banerjee feeling quite pleased. Shami has never been interested in acquiring wealth.
