Manan is the grandson of Y.P. Singh, a former Indian hockey player who is currently the general secretary of the Chandigarh Hockey Association. During the Indian Premier League 2013 auctions, Vohra was able to get a contract with Kings XI Punjab (now known as Punjab Kings) because to his outstanding performance in the Under-19 World Cup.
