The Irish cricketer and wicket-keeper hitter Lorcan John Tucker was born on September 10, 1996. He is a member of the Irish cricket team. He was a member of Ireland’s squad that competed in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2016, and he made his debut for the Ireland cricket team that competed internationally in September of the same year. It is now the ILT20 season, and he is playing for MI Emirates. Cricket Ireland presented him with a central contract in January of 2020, making him one of nineteen players to get such a grant.

MI Emirates signed him in December 2022 to participate in the first season of the International competition T20 franchise competition, which is located in the United Arab Emirates. On the 29th of January, he went up against Desert Vipers for the first time. During the event, Tucker had a strike rate of 120 and scored 85 runs throughout four innings. There was a lot of controversy around his decision to quit out of a game versus Abu Dhabi Knight Riders when he was 33(23).
In 2022, he was one of six Irish players who signed up to compete in the United States Twenty20 Championship. Tucker signed a contract with the Colombo Strikers in June 2023 for the 2023 season of the Lanka Premier League; however, he did not participate in the tournament. He also signed with the Trinbago Knight Riders for the Caribbean Premier League in 2023, where he played in seven matches during that season.
While playing against Hong Kong on September 5, 2016, Tucker made his debut in the Twenty20 International (T20I) format. In January of 2017, he was selected to be a member of Ireland’s team for the 2017 Desert T20 Challenge. This was done to fill the void left by Stuart Thompson, who was injured. In July 2019, he scored his maiden fifty for Ireland in an international match, which was the second one-day international of Zimbabwe’s tour to Ireland. To contribute to Ireland’s victory by five runs, Tucker scored 56 runs in 51 balls. Additionally, he was included in Ireland’s Test team for their one-off encounter against England at Lord’s later that month; however, he did not participate in the match. Tucker received a spot in Ireland’s team for the 2019 ICC Twenty20 World Cup Qualifier competition, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates, in September of this year.
In the competition, he participated in one match but did not bat at any point. Tucker was selected to be a part of Ireland’s 21-man squad that will go to England to begin practicing behind closed doors for the One-Day International series that will be played against the England cricket team on July 10, 2020. As a result of Tucker’s poor run of form, Neil Rock took over as the first-choice wicketkeeper, and Tucker did not participate in the series.
