Theresa Stephen Liam Livingstone born on August 4, 1993, is a cricketer from England who now represents Lancashire and England simultaneously. Livingstone is a right-handed batsman and spin bowler who can bowl both right-arm leg and off-spin. He is also capable of bowling off-spin. It was in May of 2015 that he made his debut for Lancashire in the Twenty20 competition against Leicestershire.
The European Cricket Board (ECB) presented him with the title of Most Valuable Player in the very first The Hundred tournament. After winning the Twenty20 World Cup in 2022, he was a part of the England side that triumphed. According to reports, Livingstone achieved one of the best individual scores in the history of one-day cricket on April 19, 2015, when he scored 350 runs off 138 balls for his club side, Nantwich. This achievement garnered him further media attention.
The first game of the 2016 season was the one in which Livingstone debuted for Lancashire in the first-class competition. The awarding of his county cap came on April 24, 2017, after he had successfully led Lancashire to their first win of the 2017 season while serving as a stand-in captain. His appointment as club captain for the 2018 season took place on November 30, 2017, and he succeeded Steven Croft in that role.

Livingstone was selected to be a member of England’s Twenty20 International (T20I) team for the series that was supposed to take place against South Africa in June of 2017. On June 23, 2017, he made his debut for England in a Twenty20 International match against South Africa. The England Test Squad called up Livingstone for the first time on January 10, 2018, for their upcoming two-match series against New Zealand. This was in response to Livingstone’s outstanding performance for the England Lions team during the Ashes Winter of 2017/18. National selector James Whitaker referred to Livingstone as a “standout performer” during this time.
In the player auction that took place in December 2018, the Rajasthan Royals purchased Livingstone. This transaction took place for the 2019 Indian Premier League. He was included in the roster of the Cape Town Blitz side that will compete in the 2019 Mzansi Super League competition. This announcement was made in September of 2019. The signing of his contract with the Perth Scorchers for the 2019-20 Big Bash League competition took place in November of 2019. Ahead of the Indian Premier League auction in 2020, the Rajasthan Royals decided to release him.
As part of a group of 55 players who were selected to begin training on May 29, 2020, Livingstone was included in the squad. This was done in preparation for international matches that will commence in England after the COVID-19 epidemic. For the One Day International (ODI) series that England will be playing against Ireland, Livingstone was selected to be a part of England’s 24-man squad on July 9, 2020. The announcement that Livingstone will be one of three reserve players in England’s team for the one-day international series was made on July 27, 2020. Livingstone took over for Joe Denly in England’s one-day international team on July 31, 2020, after Denly had back spasms before the opening match of the series. Through the Indian Premier League auction that took place in February 2021, the Rajasthan Royals were able to acquire Livingstone in preparation for the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League. In the month that followed, Livingstone was selected to be a part of England’s one-day international team for their series against India. In his first One-Day International (ODI) match for England, which took place on March 26, 2021, Livingstone scored an average of 63 runs over the series.
Livingstone was chosen to be a part of the England teams for both the One-Day International and Twenty20 squads that competed against Sri Lanka in June of 2021. As a result of his performance in the Twenty20 series, in which he averaged 43 and took his first wicket in the format, he was awarded the Player of the Match award in the second game of the series. Following his opening performance in the first game of the one-day international series, he surrendered his position to Jason Roy, who was returning for the remainder of the tour.
The first time that Livingstone achieved a century in a Twenty20 International (T20I) match was in July 2021, when England played Pakistan in the first match. He hit 103 runs, making him just the third player in England’s history to register a T20I hundred. Furthermore, he achieved the quickest fifty and the fastest century by an England batsman in Twenty20 Internationals, with the former coming from 17 balls and the latter from 42 balls.
In the second Twenty20 International encounter against Pakistan, he also hit a six that was 122 meters long. With the announcement of Livingstone’s inclusion in England’s team for the 2021 ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup, which took place in September 2021.
