In the fifth match of the Sri Lankan team’s tour of India, which took place in Ranchi in November 2014, he played his debut international match against Sri Lanka. He scored 20 runs off of 24 balls before being out-stumped. When India faced Zimbabwe in July 2015, Jadhav participated in all three one-day internationals. At Harare, in the third match, he hit his first one-day international hundred, which was 105 not out off 87 balls.[18] [18] While on tour, he also played his first Twenty20 International.
In January 2017, Jadhav hit 120 runs off of 76 balls and had a partnership of 200 runs with Virat Kohli, the captain of India, which contributed to India’s victory against England played on his home field. While India was attempting to reach 320 in the third match of the same series, he hit 90 runs and came very close to guiding them to victory. Even though India was defeated in the match, Jadhav had already firmly secured his position in the middle order by the time he was removed in the second last ball of the innings. As a result of his 232 runs scored throughout the series, he was given the Player of the Series title.
Following that, Jadhav went on to compete for India at the Champions Trophy in 2017, and ever since then, he has been an indispensable member of the Indian squad. In 2010, the Delhi Daredevils decided to recruit Jadhav, who had previously been a member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) development team. As soon as he made his debut in the Indian Premier League, he made an instant impression by scoring a fifty-run for Delhi against RCB. Throughout the next season, he was signed by Kochi Tuskers Kerala, a new franchise, although he only participated in six matches for them during that year.
Although he was re-signed by Delhi in 2013, he was not retained by Delhi in the 2014 Indian Premier League auction. However, he was purchased back by the club for a sum of ₹20 million after hitting 149 runs in 10 innings for Delhi in their 2014 season. The value of the deal that took place between Jadhav and Royal Challengers Bangalore before the 2016 Indian Premier League is unknown. He was selected by the Chennai Super Kings in 2018, however, he was unable to participate in the tournament since he tore his hamstring in the first match of the tournament, which was played against the Mumbai Indians.
