The South African cricketer David Andrew Miller was born on June 10th, 1989. He now plays at the professional level. At the moment, he is a member of the South African national squad, which competes in limited-overs cricket. He bats left-handed and is an aggressive middle-order batsman. He also makes an infrequent appearance as a wicket-keeper. His domestic cricket teams include the Dolphins and Multan Sultans, both of which compete in the Pakistan Super League. Additionally, he is a member of the Gujarat Titans, who compete in the Indian Premier League.
Additionally, he is a member of the South African national cricket squad, which competes in games of Twenty20 International cricket as well as One Day International (ODI) cricket. At the beginning of September 2018, Miller announced that he would no longer be able to participate in first-class cricket. While playing for the Dolphins in the last game of the domestic SuperSport Series in 2007–2008, Miller made his debut in the first-class competition. He scored a half-century in the first innings of the game in which he batted.
During the same season, Miller participated in the one-day MTN Domestic Championship tournament eight times; however, his last match was called off after just three overs had been played. In the course of the tournament, Miller scored an average of thirteen runs, which contributed to the Dolphins finishing in fifth position in the league on average. For the Dolphins, who were in the finals in the Pro20 Series Twenty20 tournament, Miller participated in two matches. The Dolphins ultimately came out on the losing end of the competition.

Announcing that Miller will be one of the 10 marquee players for the first edition of the Global T20 Canada cricket event that took place in May of 2018. According to the results of the players’ draft that took place on June 3, 2018, he was chosen to be a member of the Winnipeg Hawks basketball team for the first-ever tournament. Miller received a spot on the Durban Heat team that will compete in the first Mzansi Super League Twenty20 event in October of 2018.
He was included in the roster of the Durban Heat team that will compete in the 2019 Mzansi Super League season. This announcement was made in September of 2019. The KwaZulu-Natal team announced his inclusion in their roster in April 2021, well in advance of the 2021–22 cricket season in South Africa. The Indian Premier League auction in 2013 saw Kings XI Punjab acquire Miller for a sum of ₨ 6 crore. It was during that season that he went on to play every single match for his squad.
During a chase against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Mohali on May 6, 2013, Miller scored 101 runs without being out off just 38 balls, making it the third-quickest hundred in the history of the Indian Premier League.[10] [10] It was one of the finest innings that the opposition captain Virat Kohli had ever seen in the history of the Indian Premier League, according to Kohli, who had lost a catch while Miller was on 41. Miller’s performance was one of the best innings she had ever seen. Kings XI Punjab decided to keep him for the 2014 Indian Premier League season, during which he participated in every match and contributed to his team’s advancement to the finals.
As of the announcement, he would be the captain of the Kings XI Punjab team for the 2016 Indian Premier League. Murali Vijay took over as captain of Kings XI Punjab after the team’s first six games were unsuccessful, resulting in his dismissal from his position as captain. The Kings XI Punjab decided to release Miller before the end of the 2020 Indian Premier League auction. Ahead of the 2020 Indian Premier League season, the Rajasthan Royals purchased him in the auction that took place for the Indian Premier League. The Gujarat Titans were the ones who purchased him during the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition, which took place in February of that year. As a result of his 481 runs scored at an average of 68.71 during the Indian Premier League 2022, Gujarat Titans were able to win their first championship.
The Dambulla Hawks selected Miller in the draft for the first-ever Lanka Premier League competition, which took place in October 2020. It was confirmed in June 2021 that Miller will be playing for Peshawar Zalmi in the sixth game of the Pakistan Super League. Miller became a member of the Texas Super Kings squad in June of 2023, just in time for the first season of Major League Cricket. The series that Miller played for South Africa A versus Bangladesh A in May of 2010 earned him a call-up to the national team. Miller finished the series as the second-highest run-scorer for South Africa A. It was on May 20, 2010, in Antigua when Miller made his debut for South Africa in the Twenty20 International competition. The match was against the West Indies.
As South Africa won by a margin of only one run, Miller, who had been called up to replace the injured Jacques Kallis, hit the sixth ball of his innings for six runs and went on to get the highest score of his innings. Two days later, Miller made his debut in one-day internationals, against the West Indies once again. He contributed to South Africa’s victory by scoring 23 runs without being out, which was another strong effort on his part. Miller received a selection to participate in Zimbabwe’s tour of South Africa, during which he contributed to the South Africans’ stunning win in both the One-Day International and Twenty20 versions of the game.
