Currently, he is interested in seeing the introduction of Test cricket in his nation, with the assistance of Duleep Mendes, a coach from Sri Lanka, who will assist Oman in expanding its cricketing horizons. During an interview with Abdullah Al Mehdi of The Daily Star, Bilal, who is now playing for Chattogram Challengers in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), discussed his transition from Pakistan to Oman’s cricket. He had previously played for Chattogram Challengers.
With the assistance of four four-wicket hauls and five instances when he got five wickets in an innings, Bilal has played 45 one-day internationals for Oman and taken 95 wickets. He has maintained an economy rate of 5.03 and a bowling strike rate of 24.6. The left-arm bowler had a strike rate of 15.4 and scalped 107 wickets in 76 Twenty20 Internationals. He allowed runs at a rate of just 6.67 runs per inning. He had three four-wicket hauls in Twenty20 Internationals. In an interview with the International Cricket Council (ICC), Bilal referred to the Twenty20 World Cup that is now taking place as the most significant moment of his career.
He added that the playing conditions in the West Indies are extremely comparable to those in Oman because of the hot weather and the wickets that are playable in that region. Because even Papua New Guinea gave West Indies a run for their money in Guyana, he did not completely rule out the potential of shocks occurring in Twenty20 cricket. Bilal Khan, the main pacer for Oman, provided his side a solid start by dismissing Michael van Lingen, the opener for Namibia, in the Twenty20 World Cup 2024 match that is now taking place.
