When it comes to playing against some of the best players in the world, the associate countries have very little cricket to look forward to outside of World Cups. This is because they are not at the top of the international rankings. Even though they meet the requirements, it is often required of them to fill in the blanks so that they do not have a significant impact on the bigger picture. There is a fast shift occurring in that perspective. Over the last four years, teams like Scotland and the Netherlands have made it a practice to win against major teams, which has resulted in people taking notice of them. Namibia are comparable to one another.
Namibia is making its third consecutive appearance in the Twenty20 World Cup. In the two previous tournaments, they have emerged victorious over several formidable opponents and have also put up a fight against the other teams. They are the associate team that has the best ranking in Twenty20 Internationals (T20I), making them even higher than full-member teams like Ireland and Zimbabwe. After making a total of ten appearances for the Eagles in the Twenty20 World Cup, Bernard Scholtz is no stranger to the experience of playing in front of a large audience.
The reality of the matter is that he has taken seven wickets throughout the competition, and he has done so at an average of 26.14 and an economy rate of 6.31, which are the best rates for anybody on his team. We are excited to be able to participate in yet another World Cup. Ever since they were little boys, it has been everyone’s goal to perform on the most prestigious stage. We put forth a lot of effort to do it three times. Having gone through a hard phase, it is very remarkable that we have been able to accomplish this feat three times in a row, as Scholtz said to Cricket.com in Kathmandu.
