Barinder Sran is a cricketer who represents India at the international level. He was born on December 10th, 1992. As a left-arm medium-fast bowler, he now competes for Chandigarh in the Indian Premier League and Mumbai Indians in the domestic cricket league. He was a part of the Rajasthan Royals team that competed in the Indian Premier League in the year 2015. In the One-Day International match that took place on January 12, 2016, he made his debut for India against Australia.
On June 20, 2016, he made his debut in Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club. He bowled four out of ten, which is the highest bowling number ever recorded by an Indian rookie in T20I cricket. At the moment, he is playing for Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League as a net bowler.
Sran participated in tryouts for Kings XI Punjab after making the transition from boxing to cricket when he was 17 years old. However, he was not picked for the team. After participating in the Gatorade Speedster and winning the North India leg, he got cricket instruction at an academy in Chandigarh. He also won the Gatorade Speedster. After he triumphed in the Under-19 division of the Speedster competition, he was sent to Dubai to get training at the International Cricket Council (ICC) school.
During the 2011–12 season, he made his debut for Punjab, competing in both Twenty20 matches and the Ranji Trophy. For a few seasons, he was unable to play because of injuries. The Mumbai Indians and the Rajasthan Royals both had tryouts for him in 2014, and the Rajasthan Royals were the ones who ultimately purchased him in the Indian Premier League players auction in 2015. It was the lone game he participated in for the Royals during that year.

During a Ranji Trophy encounter in 2015, he collected six wickets and sixty-one runs, which contributed to his side Punjab’s victory against Railways by an innings margin. The Kings XI Punjab purchased him in January of 2018, at the 2018 Indian Premier League auction. The Mumbai Indians used the player auction that took place in December 2018 to acquire his services in preparation for the 2019 Indian Premier League. Ahead of the Indian Premier League auction in 2020, the Mumbai Indians decided to release him.
The Indian one-day international team for the tour of Australia in January 2016 included Sran, even though he has only played eight List A matches. It was in the inaugural one-day international that he made his debut. He grabbed three wickets for 56 runs and dismissed Aaron Finch, David Warner, and Steve Smith. The Indian cricket team then selected him for the One-Day International and Twenty20 squads that would be traveling to Zimbabwe.
An opportunity had now presented itself to BARINDER SRAN. It was after breakfast that he had seen MS Dhoni standing in the lobby on the first level. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that the Indian commander was by himself. Sran was finally able to have his one-on-one conversation, which he had been longing for during the one-day international series that took place in Zimbabwe. The two had certainly engaged in conversations about his bowling amid the Harare Sports Club (HSC) during the three matches since it was evident that they had discussed it.
In point of fact, after Sran’s first over in the third one-day international, Dhoni had spent a good two minutes discussing to his young left-armer the benefits of adjusting the line to just outside off-stump with his in-swinger to the right-hander to increase the efficacy of the ball. On the other hand, Sran was hoping for feedback from his skipper on Thursday morning. He was like a diligent student who had accidentally run across his favorite instructor in the corridor.

This was his second trip outside of India as India’s top new-ball exponent, and the 23-year-old was eager to find out how he had performed in his international debut. While on his first tour in Australia, Sran had not nearly created a significant initial impact on the audience. In what was, all things considered, a disappointing series for the Indians, he had returned with three wickets at a strike rate of 56.66 and an economy rate of 6.45. His unreliability and unstable behavior were the primary factors that led to his dismissal after three games, rather than the stats that he had accumulated.
Even in Harare, he has had instances in which his radar has malfunctioned, resulting in terrible consequences. On at least three separate times, he has bowled wides, which put Dhoni’s flexibility and fitness to the test when he was making dives down the leg side. Additionally, he was the only Indian bowler who ended up producing a period that was even somewhat costly, as he conceded forty runs in the eight overs that he bowled during the decisive match on Wednesday.
Throughout the previous year’s Vijay Hazare Trophy, he was responsible for three wickets in as many games for Punjab, even though he was wicketless in two of those games. Before then, he participated in two Ranji Trophy matches, where he finished with two wickets in three innings. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy that followed, he only managed to get three wickets in five matches, and he went wicketless in four of those matches.
