Ireland’s first-ever one-day international triumph came on July 13, 2021, when Balbirnie guided the team to victory against South Africa. In addition, he scored 102 runs off 117 deliveries in the match, which was his sixth one-day international century. Kagiso Rabada was the one who eventually got over him. After being selected as the captain of Ireland’s provisional squad for the 2021 ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup, Balbirnie was given the responsibility of leading the team. On October 26, 2022, Balbirnie achieved a Twenty20 International half-century by hitting 62 runs off of 47 deliveries. This helped Ireland win the 2022 ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup where they were competing against England.
In addition to the United States of America, the West Indies are also participating in the event, with games being played in Florida, Texas, and New York. On Long Island, Ireland will play its first two games, against favorites India on Wednesday and underdogs Canada two days later. Both of these matches will take place on the island. It is a difficult task to win the World Cup since the most powerful countries in cricket, such as Australia, England, South Africa, and New Zealand, are competing against the Irish for the title of champion. According to the most recent historical accounts, however, there is no need for Ireland to be afraid of any side.
