Tabraiz Shamsi is a former cricket player from South Africa. He was born on February 18th, 1990. Dolphins, Gauteng, Gauteng Under-19s, KwaZulu Natal, KwaZulu-Natal Inland, Lions, and Titans are just a few of the teams that he has represented during his career in first-class cricket. His right-handed batting approach is well-known, and he is also well-known for his left-arm unorthodox spin bowling strategy. On the other hand, Cricket South Africa first decided to postpone the event till November 2018, however after that, they decided to cancel it shortly after. After the conclusion of the 2017–18 Ram Slam T20 Challenge, Shamsi finished the competition with 16 wickets from 11 matches, making him the highest wicket-taker in the competition.

In addition, he was the player who took the most wickets in the Momentum One Day Cup in 2017–2018, with a total of 26 wickets in nine matches. In June 2018, Shamsi was selected to be a member of the Titans team that will compete in the 2018–19 season. In October 2018, he was selected to be a member of the Paarl Rocks team that will compete in the first Mzansi Super League Twenty20 competition. During the competition, he was the team’s joint-leading wicket-taker, with 10 dismissals in nine matches. He was instrumental in the team’s success.
Through a selection process that took place in July 2019, Shamsi was chosen to represent the Edinburgh Rocks in the first-ever edition of the Euro T20 Slam cricket event. However, the event was canceled the month after it was scheduled to take place. To provide a substitute for Mason Crane and Brad Taylor, who both suffered injuries during the 2019 Vitality Blast, Hampshire County Cricket Club decided to sign him for the remaining four matches in the group stage.
The Paarl Rocks club which will compete in the 2019 Mzansi Super League competition added Shamsi to their roster in September of this year. The Jamaica Tallawahs announced in July 2020 that he will be a member of their roster for the Caribbean Premier League in 2020. Shamsi, on the other hand, was one of five South African cricketers who did not participate in the competition because they were unable to finalize their travel arrangements promptly.
In the second round of the CSA 4-Day Franchise Series for the 2020–21 season, which took place in November 2020, Shamsi recorded the greatest bowling stats for Titans in a first-class match by taking eight wickets for 32 runs during the second innings of the match against Warriors. On the 25th of August in the year 2021, Shamsi was selected to be a substitute player for Andrew Tye in the Rajasthan Royals team that would compete in the second phase of the 2021 Indian Premier League for the United Arab Emirates. His selection to play for the Galle Gladiators in the 2021 Lanka Premier League came about as a result of the players’ draft that took place in November of that year. It was on November 24, 2016, when Shamsi made his debut for South Africa in a test match against Australia. Nathan Lyon was the first wicket he ever took in a test match, and he did it in his very first test match.
As a result of his outstanding performance in the three-match Twenty20 International series against Pakistan, which took place in Pakistan, Shamsi led the ICC Twenty20 International rankings for bowlers for the first time in his career in March of 2021.
