The Jamaican all-rounder, who is 28 years old and presently plays for the Paarl Royals team in the South African Twenty20 competition, was attacked by armed intruders close to the Sandton Sun Hotel, and the attack left him scared. Throughout the current SA20, Fabian Allen was a victim of a robbery in Johannesburg. Although the Paarl Royals, his club, have acknowledged the event that occurred on January 25, they have labeled it as an “isolated” occurrence.
Royals verified the event when they stated on their website on Monday. The statement said that the incident took place in the early hours of January 25, the day after they played Joburg Super Kings. On the other hand, it was not possible to ascertain if Allen or Royals had reported the matter to the authorities. There was a request for feedback from SA20. According to the Royals statement, Allen was “safe” and was getting ready for the Eliminator match versus Super Kings, which would take place on Wednesday in Cape Town. However, the statement did not provide any other information.
Fabian Allen, a captain for the West Indies cricket team, was allegedly assaulted and robbed at gunpoint outside of the Paarl Royals team hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa. This horrible crime occurred in South Africa. As a result of the event, which took place on the margins of the SA20, the all-rounder, who is 28 years old, was shocked. Allen has played for the West Indies in a total of 20 one-day internationals and 34 Twenty20 Internationals. He is a left-arm spinner who is also a useful batsman down the order.
However, the 28-year-old has not been in the greatest of sorts in the SA20 competition that is now taking place. In the six innings that Allen has batted in this season, he has reached his best score so far, which is 17*. In addition, his bowling numbers were not very impressive. During four innings, he only managed to take a handful of wickets. Following the match that took place a month ago against the Durba Super Giants, Allen was removed from the starting eleven. Furthermore, after the incident that took place outside the team hotel, it is very improbable that he will be seen playing in the league.
