Anukul Sudhakar Roy is a cricketer from India who currently plays for the Jharkhand state team and the Kolkata Knight Riders. He was born on November 30th, 1998. The announcement that he will be a part of India’s team for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2018 came in December of 2017. When it came to the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, he tied for the most wickets taken with another player.
During the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy, which took place on February 8, 2018, he made his debut for Jharkhand in the List A competition. His first-class debut for Jharkhand came on November 1, 2018, when he participated in the Ranji Trophy for the 2018–19 season. With 30 wickets in nine matches, he was the leading wicket-taker for Jharkhand in the tournament. He made his debut for Jharkhand in the Twenty20 competition on February 21, 2019, during the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
In October of 2019, he was selected to be a part of India B’s squad for the Deodhar Trophy for the 2019–20 season. In February of 2022, the Kolkata Knight Riders purchased him in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition. On May 2nd, 2022, he made his first appearance for his new team, which was also his first game.
As a replacement for Suyash Sharma, Kolkata has included Anukul Roy, an Indian pacer, in their team that will compete against Bengaluru, their long-standing rivals, in the Indian Premier League 2024 match that will take place at the M Chinnaswamy stadium. As a result of the fact that Nitish Rana was Kolkata’s acting captain throughout their IPL 2023 campaign, the transition came as a surprise to a great number of cricket fans across the world. Those individuals who had not had sufficient time to bat were required to participate in a net session on Saturday morning. Even before it got off the ground, Roy’s aim of competing in the Under-19 World Cup almost avoided failure.
