Aarathy was able to secure a bronze medal in the women’s 3000m relay competition that took place at the 2022 Asian Games.
On the same day, on May 3, 2021, Sandeep and Varun Chakravarthy, who was also a member of the KKR squad, both tested positive for COVID-19. This resulted in the postponement of the Indian Premier League match that was supposed to take place on that day between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Kolkata Knight Riders. The Gujarat Titans chose Sandeep Warrier as their bowler of choice for their match against the Delhi Capitals, which took place on Wednesday in Delhi as part of the forty-first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season.
Within the powerplay, Warrier took three wickets and gave the Titans a solid start. He also gave the Titans a successful start. His three overs of bowling resulted in the loss of 15 runs. With his three-fer in PP overs, Warrier became the second GT bowler to achieve this feat. Since the beginning of the season, Warrier has been the second bowler to get three-for when the team is in the powerplay. During the match between the Mumbai Indians and the Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede, Trent Boult, a bowler for the Rajasthan Royals, got 3/14.
The Gujarat Titans have decided to replace the injured Mohammed Shami with Sandeep Warrier, a fast bowler, to achieve a similar replacement. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Warrier, who hails from Kerala and now represents Tamil Nadu, has participated in five matches, all of which were played with the Kolkata Knight Riders between the years 2019 and 2021. During his time with Royal Challengers Bangalore (2013–2015) and Mumbai Indians (2023), the 32-year-old player did not appear in any games.

As a result of the fact that the keeper-batter Matthew Wade is scheduled to play for Tasmania in the Sheffield Shield final, the Titans will also be playing without him for their first two matches. There is also uncertainty over Jharkhand hitter Robin Minz. As a result of Hardik Pandya’s departure to play for Mumbai Indians, Shubman Gill will be in charge of the team that has won the Indian Premier League 2022 and has been a finalist thrice. On Sunday evening, the two clubs will compete against one another in the first game of the season.
On the other hand, the GT bowlers did not give up hope and managed to capture four wickets during the Powerplay to give themselves something to smile about after a poor batting effort. They were bowled out for 89, and DC would have hoped to nail down the total with all ten wickets in their possession.
The first person to be dismissed was Jake Fraser-McGurk, while the second wicket was taken by Prithvi Shaw, who was entirely taken the wrong way by a quick bouncer that was delivered by Sandeep Warrier.
After being utterly taken aback by the angle on the midsection and leg, Shaw attempted to sway away from the path of the ball in an attempt to avoid being hit by it. Following his relocation from Kerala to Tamil Nadu in the year 2020, Sandeep Warrier has been the captain of the bowling attack ever since he made the move. Because the pacer had done his job with the ball on Friday, he may have intended to take some time off on day two.
