The 16th of November 1999 saw the birth of Mahipal Lomror, an Indian cricketer who now competes for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League and the Rajasthan team in the local cricket competition. He bats left-handed and bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He is an all-rounder who includes both of these skills. On October 6, 2016, Mahipal made his debut for Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy 2016, which was the first-class competition of the year.
The Indian team that will compete in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2016 had him on their roster before he made his debut. On January 30, 2017, he made his debut for Rajasthan in the Twenty20 series, which was part of the Inter-State Twenty20 Tournament for the 2016–17 season. On February 25, 2017, he made his debut for Rajasthan in the List A competition that was part of the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
During the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy season, he collected 13 wickets in six matches, making him the joint-leading wicket-taker for Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Royals bid for him at the 2018 Indian Premier League auction in January of that year. The India Red team announced in August 2019 that he will be a part of their squad for the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy.

In February of 2022, the Royal Challengers Bangalore won the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition and purchased him as a player. Throughout the last several seasons, Mahipal Lomror has established himself as a dependable batter playing in the tail end of the Rajasthan Royals’ lineup. His recent results on the domestic circuit, which included scores like 69, 55, 46, 85, and 101, have also been fairly hot, which, when his name came up at the auction table, sparked a lot of curiosity among a lot of people.
To get the youth, the Challengers had to go to great lengths, but they were able to bring him to the table because they were tenacious enough. The Royal Challengers Bangalore came up with the sum of Rs 95 lakh to get his services. On a warm Monday night, Mahipal Lomror presented Royal Challengers Bengaluru with two appealing alternatives: an “Impact Player” who can take the match from the opposition and a potential successor for their preferred finisher, Dinesh Karthik, who is now participating in his last season of the Indian Premier League.
During the period in which the Impact was attempting to chase down 177 runs, Lomror filled in for Yash Dayal. With his 17 runs in eight balls and his assistance to Karthik (28, 10 balls), who made 47 runs in 22 balls, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) prevailed against Punjab Kings by a score of four wickets. Lomror, on the other hand, gained an understanding of how “weird” such a career might be as a result of his first encounter with the world of “Impact Players.”
The Rajasthan-born player, who had previously played for Rajasthan Royals before joining Royal Challengers in front of the Indian Premier League 2022, was prepared to put in a lot of work since this was his best opportunity to secure a spot in the eleven. Aakash Chopra has expressed his disapproval of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for their performance in the Indian Premier League 2024 match against the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), in which they only used five frontline bowlers.

Following the request to bat first in Bengaluru on Monday, April 15, SRH compiled a staggering score of 287/3. Subsequently, Pat Cummins and his team were able to limit the hosts to a score of 262/7, resulting in a victory by 25 runs and delivering the three-time Indian Premier League champions their sixth loss in seven matches. All of the bowlers for the Royal Challengers Bangalore had an economy rate of greater than ten runs per over.
Reece Topley and Vijaykumar Vyshak each gave up 17 and 16 runs per over, respectively, while Mahipal Lomror gave up 18 runs in the only over that he bowled. The right-arm bowler managed to keep the economy rate of the game at less than six runs per over while also taking five wickets. This was even though the Mumbai Indians ended up giving up 196 runs throughout the game.
In the four overs that he bowled, he handed out just 21 runs. Following his most recent performance with the ball, his total economy rate in the competition has dropped to a value that is lower than six. The astounding economy rate that he now has is just 5.95. Irfan Pathan, a former Indian all-rounder, has expressed his suspicions on the decision of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to not choose Mahipal Lomror for the Indian Premier League 2024 match against the Rajasthan Royals, which will take place on Saturday in Jaipur.
As a means of preventing errors of this kind, the former World Cup champion believes that Indian coaches need to be included in the think tank. The contributions that Lomror has made this season have been quite important. In RCB’s victory against the Punjab Kings, the left-handed batsman scored a rapid 17 off of eight balls. He then went on to hit three fours and as many boundaries in a 13-ball 33 against the Lucknow Super Giants, even though the team was ultimately unsuccessful.
In preparation for their Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede on April 11, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Mahipal Lomror traveled to Mumbai with his colleagues to pay a visit to the Siddhivinayak Temple. In preparation for the 2024 season, Bengaluru has agreed to keep him for a sum of INR 95 lakh.
