A cricketer from India, Riyan Parag Das was born on November 10, 2001. He now competes for the Assam team in the Indian domestic cricket league and for the Rajasthan Royals team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). On the Indian Under-19 side that triumphed in the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, he was a member of the winning squad. Riyan’s father, Parag Das, is a former cricketer who competed at the first-class level and played for the national teams of Assam, Railways, and East Zone before retiring.
MS Dhoni and his father, Parag Das, competed in railway tournaments together in Kharagpur and Guwahati many years ago. Other events included other players. Even more impressively, they achieved the highest possible position in the run-charts for their department in the Inter-Railways contests held in Nagpur in 2004, just before to his debut in India. Over numerous years, they have also competed against one another in the Ranji Trophy. This was the case when Dhoni was playing for Bihar.
Dhoni was keeping wickets and captaining the opposition during Parag’s first game in the Indian Premier League. In the past, his mother Mithoo Barooah was a swimmer who held the national record for the 50-meter freestyle event. She also competed for India in the Asian Championships and the South Asian Games. However, the Assam selectors, who were not on the same page as the state’s coach at the time, Sanath Kumar, prevented Riyan Parag from being the youngest player to make his debut in a first-class match in India. Riyan Parag was just 14 years old at the time.

Riyan made his debut for Assam in the Twenty20 competition on January 29, 2017, during the Inter-State Twenty-20 Tournament for the 2016–17 season. The announcement that he will be a part of India’s team for the 2017 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup came earlier this year in October. He made his debut for Assam in the Ranji Trophy for the 2017–18 season on November 17, 2017, which was his first-class debut. A selection was made for him to be a part of India’s Under-19 team for the two junior Tests that were held in England in 2017.
Behind Prithvi Shaw, he concluded the two youth tests that India played in England with the second-highest number of runs scored for the team. India was able to set up a declaration and pave the way for a 334-run triumph in Chesterfield because of his two fifties in the first game, which included a half-century against 33 balls, which was the second-fastest in recorded junior Tests behind Virat Kohli. In India’s pursuit of rapid runs, he scored a half-century in the second test match. He also put up a 131-run partnership with Shubman Gill for the fourth wicket, which led to India’s victory in the series by a score of 2-0.
Before embarking on the trip, he reached the end of a successful season, during which he ended as the second-highest run-getter in the 2016-17 Cooch Behar Trophy, which is India’s national four-day event for players under the age of 19, with 642 runs scored in 14 innings and a top score of 202 not out. Following his selection to the India A team for the India U19 Challenger trophy in 2017, he went on to become the player with the most runs scored in that competition.
The announcement that he will be a part of India’s team for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2018 came in December of 2017. Rahul Dravid, the coach of the India U19 team, said that he was in incredible shape and hitting the ball well in the buildup, but sadly, he sustained an injury. As a result of a finger injury, Parag did not begin the tournament and was only included in the starting eleven for the final group match, which was played against Zimbabwe.

During the warm-up games, he suffered a finger break, but he was able to continue competing in the second half of that tournament. He was unable to bat smoothly because of the finger damage that he sustained on his left hand. He improved his secondary talent and became a better offspinner as a result of his efforts. With a total of 248 runs scored in seven matches, he was the player who led Assam in terms of run scoring during the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
His base price of twenty lakhs was the sum at which the Rajasthan Royals purchased him at the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League. The auction took place in December of 2018. In the history of the Indian Premier League, he made history by being the youngest cricketer to ever register a fifty. This accomplishment occurred during the 2019 season of the league. He accomplished the accomplishment at the age of 17 years and 175 days, surpassing the previous record of 18 years and 169 days, which was held jointly by Sanju Samson and Prithvi Shaw. He did this by breaking the record.
Earlier than the major auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League, Rajasthan decided to release him from their contract. His re-acquisition by the Rajasthan Royals occurred at the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition, which took place in February of that year. Not only did he score a match-winning 56 not out for Rajasthan Royals in a low-scoring thriller against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2022 Indian Premier League, but he also grabbed 17 catches, which was the highest by any Indian outfield and non-wicket-keeper in the competition.
He scored 552 runs at an average of 69 and three tons and one fifty during the 2022-23 Vijay Hazare Trophy season, making him the best run-getter for Assam and the sixth most overall across all teams in the season. His leg-break bowling was also responsible for the ten wickets that he took throughout the season. In the quarterfinals of the competition, when he was attempting to chase down a massive 351 against Jammu and Kashmir, he hit a career-high 174 off 116 balls. His innings were filled with a dozen sixes and an equal amount of fours.
