Rilee Roscoe Rossouw is a South African cricketer who now competes for the South African cricket team. He was born on October 9th, 1989. Quetta Gladiators, Punjab Kings, and Pretoria Capitals are the three teams that Rossouw is presently representing. In addition to being a right-arm off-spin bowler, he bats with his left hand. For the first time in the history of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup, Rossouw created history by being the first South African batsman to achieve a hundred runs. He accomplished this against the Bangladesh national cricket team.
Rossouw made his first-class debut for Free State in November 2007, when they played Easterns. He batted at number three and achieved the highest score of the match, 83, during an innings that contained 13 fours. He made the transition to franchise cricket after his first season, playing three Twenty20 matches with the Eagles. This was his first season playing Cricket. Throughout the 2008–2009 season, Rossouw was a consistent member of the Eagles squad. In the SuperSport Series, he led the club in scoring with 765 runs, including three centuries.
It was against the Titans in November 2008 that he scored his first-ever century in the first-class format. He made 106 runs, including 20 boundaries. In the rematch that took place in March 2009, he scored 109 runs out of a total of 178 for the team, while no other batter scored more than 16. Once again, the Eagles were defeated by the team that triumphed in the league championship game. In addition, he achieved his first century in the one-day format, which he accomplished by hitting 131 runs off of 108 balls against the Warriors.

Throughout the 2009–10 season, Rossouw amassed 1,261 runs at a batting average of 57.61, which featured a score of 319 off of 291 balls against the Titans. During the innings, there were 47 fours and 8 sixes, making it the quickest triple-century ever recorded in South African competitive cricket. There was a second wicket partnership between him and Dean Elgar that lasted for 84 overs and resulted in 480 runs. This partnership was the greatest South African partnership for any wicket.
Rossouw was a member of Royal Challengers Bangalore during the Indian Premier League in 2011. He then took Nic Maddinson’s spot for the IPL 2014 season for Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Free State cricket team selected him to be a part of their squad for the 2015 Africa Twenty20 Cup. As a substitute player for the Quetta Gladiators during the 2017 season of the Pakistan Super League, Rossouw participated in the football competition.
The amount of money that he reportedly made was somewhere around $370,000. He continued to play with Quetta till 2019. It was in the year 2020 when Multan Sultans selected him. Since he had been a member of Multan Sultans for four years up till the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League, he has been transferred to Quetta Gladiators once again for the ninth edition of the league. As a result of the draft for the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League, he was selected to be a member of the Rangpur Riders team’s roster in October of 2018.
With 558 runs scored throughout 14 matches, he was the player who led the squad in terms of run-scoring during the tournament. The Khulna Tigers, who will compete in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League, chose him to play for them in November of 2019. The St. Lucia Zouks announced in July 2020 that he will be a member of their team for the Caribbean Premier League in 2020. Rossouw, however, was one of five South African cricketers who did not participate in the event because they were unable to confirm their travel arrangements promptly by the deadline.

The Melbourne Renegades were selected to participate in the 2019–20 Big Bash League season, and he was included in the team’s roster in November of 2020. His selection to play for the Dambulla Giants in the 2021 Lanka Premier League came about as a result of the players’ draft that took place in November of that year. In April of 2022, the Oval Invincibles made the purchase of his services for the 2022 season of The Hundred in England.
The selection of Rossouw to represent a South African school team occurred when he was a student at Grey College in Bloemfontein. During the second ‘Test’ match against Bangladesh in December 2007, he made his debut for the South African under-19 team. In addition, he competed against India in the years leading up to the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2008. As South Africa advanced to the final of the World Cup, he participated in all six matches, scoring 136 runs at an average of 34.00 and helping the team to advance.
Rossouw’s international career came to an end on January 5, 2017, when he signed a Kolpak agreement with Hampshire County Cricket Club. Since then, he has been ineligible to represent South Africa, putting an end to his international professional career. His last performance as an international cricketer before he returned was scoring 122 at Newlands Cricket Ground when South Africa defeated Australia in a 5–0 rout and won the Player of the Series title. This was his final act before returning to the sport.
After announcing their Twenty20 International, One-Day International, and Test squads for the forthcoming series against India, South Africa seems to have made their selections, taking into consideration the tasks that would be given shortly. Rob Walter, the coach of the Twenty20 International squad, has said that there is space for alteration in the roster, even though senior players have been reserved for the white-ball leg of the series to give precedence to the two-test series.
