In August of the previous year, he had experienced a stress fracture of his ribs. The outstanding right-arm fast bowler moved in with us following the auction in December, and he has been a member of the camp ever since the pre-season sessions began. As a result of the fact that he has been an essential member of the team throughout the season, both Shivam and I are dismayed that his season has ended so quickly, as mentioned in the press statement issued by LSG.
In addition, Mavi, who has participated in six Twenty20 Internationals for India, did not have the opportunity to play a single game for Gujarat Titans in 2023. In the most recent auction, LSG successfully acquired him for a price of Rs 6.4 crore to replace the vacuum that Avesh Khan left behind when he moved to Rajasthan Royals. At the beginning of 2023, Shivam Mavi had a fantastic debut for India. However, the last few years have been a dreadful experience for him.
A multitude of ailments hampered his hopes of participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the previous year, which ultimately resulted in the Gujarat Titans releasing him. Reports indicate that the teenager will focus on improving his physical condition since there is no specific timetable for his comeback. Given this information, it would be necessary for the club to search for a substitute player who is capable of functioning as an excellent backup.
