An Indian cricketer who has represented the Indian national team, Krunal Himanshu Pandya was born on March 24, 1991. He has played for the Indian cricket team. Although he now plays for the Baroda in domestic cricket, he was originally the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, who competed in the Indian Premier League. He bats left-handed and bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He is an all-rounder who includes both of these skills.
In November 2018, he made his debut for the Indian cricket team on the international stage. In the year 2021, he achieved the record for the quickest half-century made by a cricket player on their first one-day international. His older brother, Hardik Pandya, is a cricket player. He is his brother. During the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy campaign, Pandya made his debut in the first-class format on October 6, 2016, while playing for Baroda.
Over the subsequent few months, he established himself as the primary wicket-taker and the leading run scorer for Baroda in the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy. The average number of runs he scored was 45.75, and his strike rate was 81.33. He played in eight matches and scored 366 runs. Throughout this, he achieved three half-centuries, with his best score being 78. His bowling performance was impressive, as he was able to take 11 wickets in 8 matches, with an economy rate of 4.82, an average of 25.09, and a strike rate of 31.10.
A score of 4/20 was his greatest bowling score throughout the eight matches. While playing for India A in 2017, he was a part of the team that won a tri-series against South Africa A and Afghanistan A.
In the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, he amassed 366 runs in eight matches, making him the most prolific run scorer for Baroda. The announcement that he will be a part of India A’s team for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy came in October of 2018.
Krunal Pandya Biography
Baroda has selected Pandya to serve as their captain for the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019–2020 season. A spot in the 2022 Royal London One-Day Cup was reserved for him to play for the Warwickshire County Cricket Club. During the Indian Premier League auction in 2016, the Mumbai Indians made a purchase of Pandya for a sum of ₹2 crore. It was in April of 2016 that he made his debut in the Indian Premier League, playing against Gujarat Lions at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
His achievements throughout the 2016 Indian Premier League season earned him a spot in the Cricinfo and Cricbuzz IPL XI. In 2017, he was awarded the Player of the Match award for his performance against Delhi Daredevils at ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam. He scored 86 runs off of 37 balls, got the wickets of Quinton De Kock and Zaheer Khan, and was deemed to be the best player of the match. Throughout the whole of the competition, he maintained a constant level of performance with both the stick and the ball.
In the final match, in which he played against Rising Pune Supergiant, he scored 47 runs, which earned him the title of Player of the Match. The ESPNcricinfo and Cricbuzz IPL XIs were both named to him as a result of his efforts throughout the 2017 Indian Premier League season. The Mumbai Indians participated in the 2018 Indian Premier League auction and signed Pandya in January of that year.
During his second first-class match, he scored 160 runs against Railways in the Ranji trophy. He had also hit 21 boundaries during that match. Additionally, he was the top run scorer in the first innings for Baroda, with a strike rate of 73.06 while playing. During the Indian Premier League 2021, Pandya’s overly violent outbursts on the pitch garnered a lot of attention. Many times, he was observed becoming irritated with the fielders when there was no possibility that the ball could be stopped. This happened rather often.

No one has transformed Krunal into a meme material that is mocking him, even though some people have criticized him for his actions. During the latter stages of the competition, Pandya once again drew notice to his dubious conduct. This time, he was recorded throwing a moisturizer bottle at Anukul Roy when the team was playing Rajasthan Royals. Throughout October 2018, Pandya was selected to be a member of India’s Twenty20 International (T20I) teams for their upcoming tours against the West Indies and Australia.
On November 4, 2018, he made his debut for India in a Twenty20 International match against the West Indies. He took one wicket and scored 21 runs off of nine balls undefeated. The India Twenty20 International squad that competed against Australia included him, and he participated in all three matches. In the first encounter, he gave up 55 runs in four overs, but in the second Twenty20 International, he got 2 wickets and 26 runs. In the third match, he received the Player of the Encounter award for his bowling performance, which was 4 wickets and 36 runs in four overs.
In addition to being a fellow Indian cricketer, he is the older brother of Hardik Pandya. He tied the knot with Pankhuri Sharma on December 27th, year 2017. The 18th of July, 2022 saw the birth of the couple’s baby, who they named Kavir Krunal Pandya. Deepak Hooda, an Indian cricketer, filed a critical letter to the Baroda Cricket Association in January 2021. In the letter, Hooda accused Krunal Pandya of using “abusive language” and “threats to end his career.” Hooda then decided to withdraw from the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. The results of his COVID-19 test came back positive on July 27, 2021.
