Noor was selected to be a member of Afghanistan’s One-Day International (ODI) team for the series that they were going to play against Pakistan in July of 2021. The announcement that he will be a part of Afghanistan’s squad for the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies came in December of 2021. In the latter part of the same month, he was signed by the Quetta Gladiators as a result of the players’ draft that took place in the Supplementary category for the 2022 Pakistan Super League.
During the match against Islamabad United that took place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on February 12, 2022, he made his first appearance for the team. The Gujarat Titans were the ones who purchased him during the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition, which took place in February of that year. At the beginning of May 2022, Ahmad was selected to be a member of Afghanistan’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Zimbabwe. Additionally, he was included as a reserve in Afghanistan’s One Day International (ODI) squad for the same trip.
On June 14, 2022, he played his first Twenty20 International match for Zimbabwe. Against Sri Lanka, Ahmad played his first one-day international match on November 30, 2022. He also made his debut in the One-Day International World Cup on October 23, 2023, when he played against Pakistan in Chennai. The fact that he made his debut in the World Cup at the age of 18 made him the youngest player to ever make his debut in the competition.
Noor Ahmed, a spinner for the Gujarat Titans (GT), made his debut in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) by dismissing Travis Head, a player for the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH). During the current match between the two teams, which took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, the mystery spinner was able to outwit the aggressive opener.

Head, who had just had a memorable debut for the team against the Mumbai Indians (MI), got off to a strong start against GT as well. After receiving a couple of boundaries from Azmatullah Omarzai in the first opener, the left-handed opener started his innings with a couple of boundaries. However, the Australian batter was unable to inflict as much damage on the bowlers in pretty decent batting conditions against the new ball since he remained off-strike for the entirety of the powerplay. This prevented him from doing as much damage as possible.
Nevertheless, he made the most of the deliveries he received and raced away to score 18 runs off of 12 deliveries, which assisted SRH in reaching the six-over mark with 56 runs under their belt. In the immediate aftermath of the powerplay, GT captain Shubman Gill inserted Noor Ahmad into the offensive lineup. By outfoxing Travis Head, the Afghanistan spinner was able to score with his fourth delivery. The left-handed hitter had attempted to take the bowler on with a slog sweep, but the googly was able to break through the gap and hit the middle stump instead.
Shubman Gill, the captain of Gujarat, said that the Gujarat team has made two changes to their playing eleven for their group encounter against Hyderabad. Noor Ahmad and Darshan Naklande have replaced Spencer Johnson and Sai Kishore in the formation of their playing XI. During the Indian Premier League (IPL) match that took place on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the captain of SRH, Pat Cummins, won the toss and decided to bat against the team GT, which has Shubman Gill.
Pat Cummins said that they would be batting first because of the circumstances of a day game and the surface that they will be playing on. To hold the big-hitting team in orange to a score that was below average, Noor Ahmad, Mohit Sharma, and Rashid Khan, a former Sunriser, smothered them. As the batting surface improved in the evening, the Titans relied on contributions from Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and David Miller to take them through to victory.
